The St. John Hospital and Medical Center (SJH&MC) Guild is a volunteer organization established in 1948 to afford members an outlet for the practice of their Christian and civic charity toward the sick by striving in every way possible to assist the Sisters of St. Joseph (a sponsoring congregation of SJH&MC) in establishing and maintaining St. John Hospital.

Why did you join the Guild?:
I joined at the behest of Sr. Jackie. I learned in Catholic grade school that I was always better off following the suggestions of the Sisters then not. And, I wanted to do something to support the hospital beyond my own clinical practice.

What have you gained by being a part of the Guild?:
The most important thing that I have gained is invaluable friendships that I treasure! I am continually humbled by the extreme generosity of the members of the Guild. It gives me hope for the future.
