The St. John Hospital and Medical Center (SJH&MC) Guild is a volunteer organization established in 1948 to afford members an outlet for the practice of their Christian and civic charity toward the sick by striving in every way possible to assist the Sisters of St. Joseph (a sponsoring congregation of SJH&MC) in establishing and maintaining St. John Hospital.

Why did you join the Guild?:
Robert Lefebvre and Sr. Verenice were two members who asked me to join, but my first impression of the Guild came from my father, Vincent Adamo who was an original member of the Guild when it was first conceived in 1948.

What have you gained by being a part of the Guild?:
I’ve gained the satisfaction of helping those in need within our community. In addition I have made lifelong friendships with people who I may not have ever met, if I was not a Guild member.
